Privacy Policy

Stockdey (“Stockdey”, “we”, “us”) provides offline-first point-of-sale and inventory software for shops and small businesses. Contact: hello@stockdey.com.

This policy covers:

• The Stockdey Android / iOS apps
• The Stockdey web dashboard at our website
• Optional public shop pages and related cloud sync

It does not cover third-party sites or apps you open from outside Stockdey (for example payment processors or app stores), which have their own policies.

Account & profile. Email address, name, authentication identifiers, organization and store details you enter (business name, address, phone, currency).

Business data you create. Products, stock levels, sales, payments, customers, suppliers, purchases, expenses, quotations, transfers, receipts, and similar records needed to run your shop.

Device & app data. Device type, app version, approximate diagnostics for crash/reliability, and push notification tokens when you enable notifications.

Media you upload. Product photos, logos, storefront banners, and expense or receipt images when you choose to attach them.

Permissions on mobile. Camera (barcodes and photos), microphone (optional voice search), Bluetooth (receipt printers), biometrics (app unlock), and notifications — only when you grant them.

Subscriptions. Plan status and purchase identifiers via Apple / Google / RevenueCat. We do not store your full card number; the store handles payment.

• Provide POS, inventory, sync, reports, and account features
• Secure your workspace (sign-in, PIN / biometrics on device)
• Send optional alerts you enable (low stock, billing, usage)
• Process Pro subscriptions and prevent abuse
• Improve reliability and fix bugs
• Respond to support requests
• Meet legal or regulatory obligations when required

We do not sell your personal information.

Stockdey is designed to work offline. Sales and catalogue data may be stored on your device and synced to our cloud when you are online so you can use multiple devices and recover your business records. You control when the device is connected.

We share data only with:

• Infrastructure providers that host the app backend and storage (for example database and file hosting) under contract
• Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for app distribution and subscriptions
• You and your team — staff you invite can access organization data according to roles you assign
• Authorities when required by law

Public storefront pages only show information you choose to publish (for example shop name, products, and prices).

We keep account and business data while your organization is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated cloud data (subject to legal retention needs and backups that expire on a rolling schedule). Device-local data is removed when you clear app data or uninstall, unless restored from a later sign-in sync.

We use industry-standard protections including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and device unlock options. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and protect your device PIN.

Stockdey is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 for the purpose of using Stockdey as a consumer kids’ product.

• Update profile and store details in the app or dashboard
• Turn notification categories on or off in app settings
• Revoke camera, mic, Bluetooth, or notification permission in system settings
• Request account and data deletion at stockdey.com/account-deletion or by emailing hello@stockdey.com
• Manage or cancel Pro subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play

Our servers and processors may be located outside your country. Where we transfer personal data, we take steps appropriate to the service providers and applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or by email when appropriate.
